Counting in K!

Kindergarten students have been participating in hands on math activities introducing and reinforcing numbers 0-10.  These activities include counting a number of objects, recognizing and writing numbers, producing a set of a given number of objects, and composing and decomposing numbers which all build number sense.  We are having discussions around numbers where we compare them to find greater than, less than, and equal, what comes before and after, as well as what happens if we add or take away.  The students are mastering these skills daily and will be ready for our next unit which is addition and subtraction.
