The PS 32 Children’s Garden is a hands-on learning center focused on health, nutrition, and sustainability. The PS 32 children, staff and families contribute to the expansion of the garden by building raised crop beds, composting and irrigation systems, and more.
The garden is the home of our fall harvest and spring festivals and serves as an outdoor classroom for our NEW sustainability class, taught by Ms. Sorkin. In this course, students learn about and conduct experiments with hydroponics, nutrition, and the science of our natural world.
All of this has been possible with generous support from GrowsNYC, New York Botanical Gardens, GreenBeetz, and the New York Restoration Project.
